Dating back to at least 1700, virtually extinct by the 1960's. Disease resistant especially to southern leaf blight. Great for roasting, feed & flour. Large number of rows of deep kernels. This variety has been acclimated to the warmer southern climate throughout the last 5-25 years making it a regionally adapted, reliable, heirloom seed.
